Privacy policy

In short

You can use the free part of the site without telling us anything. If you buy a reading, we keep your email address, the birth dates you bought readings for, and a record of your payments. We do not ask for your name, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete your data yourself at any time.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is GC Ventures sp. z o.o., Al. Powstania Warszawskiego 15, 31-539 Kraków, Poland (KRS 0001001861, NIP 6751773409, REGON 523642185). For anything about your data, write to contact@destinymatrix.me.

Using the free site

The Matrix is calculated from the birth date you enter. The date becomes part of the page address (for example ?d=1990-04-12), so you can share the link. We do not save it.

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, such as your IP address, the page address and the time. They are used to run the site and keep it secure.

Your browser remembers that you have seen the guided tour, so it does not start again. This note stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Buying a reading

Payments are handled by Creem, which sells the reading to you as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Creem collects your email address, your name, your payment details and your billing country, and decides on its own how to use them for the payment, for tax and against fraud. Creem’s privacy policy applies to that. We never see your card details.

To open the right reading, we pass Creem the birth date, the product and the language of the page. After the payment, Creem tells us your email address, its customer and order numbers, the product, the amount, the currency and the status of the payment. These notifications can also include the name and country you entered at checkout. We keep them only in the technical record of the notification and do not use them for anything else.

We then keep:

  • your email address, so your readings can be kept under it and you can get back to them;
  • the birth dates you bought readings for, and the labels you give them, such as “Mom”;
  • your orders: product, amount, currency, date, and any refund or dispute;
  • when a date was corrected or a copy was sent.

Birth dates of other people

You can buy a reading for someone else’s date. A birth date is personal data, so we store it with no name, only the optional label you give it. Please keep labels short and avoid full names, for example “Mom” or “A.”.

If you send a copy of a reading to the person it is about, we use their email address to create a place for their copy and to send them one email with a link. The email does not name you. They can delete their copy and their data at any time, as you can.

Emails we send

We send only emails you need: the email with your reading after a purchase, sign-in links and codes you ask for, refund notices and, if you send one, the copy of a reading to its person. We do not send newsletters or marketing unless you have separately agreed to it.

Cookies and similar storage

We use only what the site needs to work. You do not need to agree to these, and there are no others.

  • destinymatrix.pass: after a purchase, remembers in this browser which dates you bought and under which email. Signed so it cannot be forged. Kept for one year.
  • Sign-in cookies (names starting with sb-): keep you signed in after you open a link or enter a code from our email. Removed when you sign out.
  • destinymatrix.tour (stored in your browser, not a cookie): remembers that you have seen the tour.

Why we may use your data

  • To deliver the reading you bought, let you get back to it and handle refunds: this is needed to perform our contract with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and establish or defend legal claims: our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To send a copy of a reading to the person it is about: the legitimate interest of the buyer and of that person in receiving a gift (art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To meet legal obligations, for example under tax law: art. 6(1)(c).
  • Marketing emails, only if you have agreed to them: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Readings are produced automatically from a birth date. This is not a decision about you with legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not build profiles of you.

Who else processes your data

We use a few services that process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

  • Vercel: hosting of the site and its logs.
  • Supabase: the database that keeps your email address, readings and orders, and the sign-in. The data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt).
  • Resend: delivery of our emails.

Creem is not on this list because it acts as an independent controller for the payment, as described above.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

  • Your email address, readings and orders: until you delete your data, or until we close the site.
  • Records of checkouts and payment notifications: as long as needed to handle refunds, chargebacks and legal claims, and to meet tax obligations.
  • Hosting logs: a few days to a few weeks, as set by the hosting provider.
  • Invoices: kept by Creem as the seller, for as long as tax law requires.

Deleting your data

Open the Your readings page (from the link in any of our emails) and choose to delete your data. This removes your email address, your readings and your order history from our systems at once. You can also write to contact@destinymatrix.me and we will do it for you.

After deletion, your readings no longer open, and buying a date again is a new purchase.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected, deleted or restricted, receive it in a portable format, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what was done before. Write to contact@destinymatrix.me. We reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa), or the authority in the country where you live or work.

Age

The site is not meant for children. You must be at least 18 to buy a reading. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

The links to our Instagram and TikTok profiles lead to other companies’ sites. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top. If the change is important, we email everyone who has bought a reading before it applies.
